President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi has visited the China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) ,where he met with Chairman and technical and administrative cadres of the Corporation.
In the visit, President Hadi got acquainted with the designs and three-dimensional maps and electronic control room and listened to clarifications from Chairman of the company on many of the company’s ac
tivities and its investments at the internal level and around the world with an investment capital amounting to more than $ 700 million.
During his meeting with Chairman and officials in the company ,President Hadi noted that there are three Chinese companies working in Yemen in the field of oil exploration and have achieved a great success by all standards and achieved economic returns and mutual benefits between the two sides.
The president voiced his hope to open further prospects in the field of oil and gas production, confirming that Yemen is a promising country in this aspect and with a good partnership between the two friendly countries.
He pointed out that Chinese investments will receive care and personal attention and follow-up in order to overcome all difficulties and to provide all the capabilities and create a long-term partnership so as to achieve joint returns and promote relations between the two countries.
In this regard, the President noted to the topic of cooperation in the rehabilitation of Aden refinery, which is one of the oldest refineries in the region as well as the port of Aden ,which is the closest among the ports to the international navigation line.
The president highly appreciated the efforts made by the Chinese ambassador to Yemen in order to reach excellent results ,which are translated in this visit to China
On his part, Chairman of the Sinopec Group noted that the company is determined to widen its work in Yemen, commending the new intention to develop the Yemeni-Chinese relations.
He confirmed that the two sides will talk on the available opportunities and work on concluding the required agreements in the field of oil production ,confirming that the cooperation will include Aden Refinery and Aden Port , as well as the understanding about ensuring the navigation in the Bab el Mandeb and developmental ,economic and service projects in the region in light of the new developments and the stable security situation.
