The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the diplomatic and consular missions, and has the honor to communicate the circumstances of the terrorist incident that Defense Hospital was the victim of a terrorist attack Thursday, 05.12.2013 where a terrorist group attacked Hospital defense with a car bomb followed by clashes between the guard and terrorists at nine in the morning.
The terrorist attack caused the death of 52 doctors and nurses working at the hospital as well as patients Yemeni nationality , including two doctors and two German doctors and 2 nurses Vietnamese Philippines and other civilian and military casualties .
167 people were also injured, nine seriously injured . Special military units clashed terrorist group and eliminated all group members.
The President of the Republic visited the buildings of the defense complex Lardi for a special meeting with senior officers of the armed forces and demanded the urgent formation of a committee of inquiry into the incident and submit results in 24 hours .
These terrorists who violated all the principles of tolerance and peace advocate that all religions and laws of international law and the principles of humanity prohibiting attacks against hospitals in case of war , this incident is the title of the failure achieved by these terrorists who seek to disturb the peace of the homeland and the citizen and confusion in the process of comprehensive national dialogue that ends in order to confuse the state policies that managed to deal with a rational manner the crucial questions about the future of the state and other issues discussed at the conference dialogue , which ra an example for all future generations to move forward and build a future promising , safe and stable.
Our country has always lived in the shadow of religious and ethnic tolerance and will remain so because faith and wisdom are Yemeni . The Republic of Yemen has proved to the world that despite the difficult conditions it faces , it is the policy that favors dialogue and not force , it is the same principles adopted since the arrival of the Islam condemns in the Qur’an and the Prophet’s biography religious and sectarian extremism and called in its entirety to the spirit and human dignity for 1,400 years .
Therefore, those who committed this terrible attack will be followed by a curse for generations to come and will be arrested and brought to court to be tried and punished for the heinous crime they committed.
We pray that the martyrs rest in peace , and we wish the injured a speedy recovery.
We ask all foreign missions accredited to clarify the circumstances of this terrorist act and seek their support in our fight against terrorism, which is the bane of the modern era in all regions of the world.
The terrorist has no religion or homeland.
