France on Monday described the success of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) in Yemen as a crucial step in the political transition process.
In a press statement, French Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadal underscored that France would continue its assistance to Yemen as part of the technical support to draft the future constitution, which has been demanded to offer in since September 2012.
Drafting the new constitution should be begun without delay, Nadal said, calling on all parties in Yemen to stick to the same positive consensual spirit in the current stage, in which President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi’s role will remain essential.
