Achievement level in executive matrix for NDC’s outcomes reviewed

The Cabinet reviewed at its meeting on Sunday a report on the achievement level in the executive actions matrix of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC)’s outcomes, which will be filed to the President for approval.

In its extraordinary meeting, under the chairmanship of Prime Minster Mohammed Salem Basindwa, the cabinet was briefed on the procedures and the draft resolutions for the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2140 for the year 2014.

The Security Council’s resolution included a number of issues ,including the reform of the electoral register and the necessary amendments to the election law, the follow-up to the implementation of the 20 + 11 points, the community awareness on the NDC’s outcomes ,amending the press law ,the preparation of a comprehensive security plan to establish security and stability ,the formation of an independent inquiry commission on allegations of human rights violations in 2011, the issuance of the transitional justice and national reconciliation law, in addition to the review and implementation of the national strategy to combat terrorism and raising a bill of restoring the looted money ,as well as the operational procedures for the Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen in 2014 and the follow-up to the fulfillment of the donors’ pledges.

In light of the discussions, the cabinet approved to provide an opportunity for the ministers to get acquainted with the proposed draft resolutions and to submit their observations thereon, if any, to the next meeting for discussion and approval.
