The Yemeni-Russian joint committee signed on Sunday the minutes of its concluding session, which contained an agreement to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the various fields.
The session, which co-chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Mohammed al-Sa’adi and Russian Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media Alexei Volin, dealt with the issues relating to the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing it to serve their mutual interests.
Dr. al-Sa’adi confirmed that Yemen is keen to broaden the areas of joint cooperation with Russia, especially in the trade and investment areas, affirming that Yemen welcomes the Russian investments in all fields.
He alluded that the expanded meeting held yesterday between representatives of the private sector in Yemen and Russia represented an opportunity to exchange views on ways of strengthening the cooperation and partnership in the investment and trade areas between the two sides.
For his part, the Russian official confirmed the keenness of his country’s government to boost areas of bilateral cooperation with Yemen in all fields.
He noted that the current visit of Russian delegation to Yemen and holding the official talks session in Sana’a represents a practical translation of the two countries’ trends to push forward the bilateral cooperation between them.
