Interior Minister, General Abdu Hussein al-Tarib, has met here with the Assistant UN Secretary-General and Special Adviser to Secretary-General on Yemen, Jamal Benomar.
During the meeting, al-Tarib and Benomar discussed developments on the Yemeni arena, mainly the security situation and the current challenges in that field.
The minister commended the important role being carried out by Benomar in helping Yemen to overcome difficulties and crises to achieve aspirations of the Yemeni people towards the modern civil state in line with the GCC initiative and the results of the national dialogue.
On his part, Benomar hailed the success achieved by the Interior Ministry in the counter terrorism field.
