President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Monday with ambassador of the Netherlands to Yemen Jeroen Verheul.
Verheul conveyed the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Prime Minister’s condolences to the Yemeni leadership, people and the families of the victims of the terrorist attack on the Defense Ministry’s “Al-Ordhi” Hospital taken place in Sana’a on Thursday.
He condemned strongly the attack and underlined the Netherlands and the European Union (EU) States’ positions in support of Yemen in any circumstances.
The Dutch ambassador praised with the President’s leadership in dealing with the situation and in his wise management for the transition in Yemen via the implementation of the Gulf initiative, which has achieved great successes.
“Today, Yemen is on the verge of the conclusion of the dialogue that Yemenis have chosen as a way to address their issues,” he said.
The President expressed his thanks and appreciation of the good feelings by the Kingdom of the Netherlands. He reviewed the efforts Yemen makes to deal with the terrorism, which damaged the country and affected its economy, security and stability.
Hadi stressed the need for concerting efforts and cooperation of the local, regional and international communities to eliminate this phenomenon, pointing to the importance of aid provision and investment flows, which in turn will contribute to creating a stable and safe environment and job opportunities for youths.
