President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Monday with United Kingdom Minister of State for International Development Alan Duncan.
During the meeting, The President discussed with the UK Minister several issues related to the close relationship between Yemen and the United Kingdom at different levels.
Hadi said that Yemen still faces difficult challenges and need aid in economic, political and security areas, pointing that the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) on the verge of concluding with success in order to draw a map of a new future for Yemen.
“Yemen with all political forces have chosen a settlement on the basis of the Gulf initiative and UN Security Council Resolutions 2014 and 2051,” the president said, stressing it was the only way for the safety, security, stability and unity of Yemen.
At the meeting, the UK Minister conveyed the Queen Elizabeth II and Prime Minister David Cameron’s condolences and sympathy with the Yemeni people and the families of the victims of this terrorist attack on the Defense Ministry’s “Al-Ordhi” Hospital taken place in Sana’a on Thursday.
Duncan said that the Yemeni-UK relations are excellent and the UK will continue its aid and consultations for the interest of Yemen and its security, stability and unity, praising the extraordinary role President Hadi plays in order to achieve the required successes.
